wally, please.
Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
So for the entirety of April, my voice has been ripped to shreds - I’ve been screaming so much because of softball APAC, singing for events almost every weekend, and there’s still softball practice. Not to mention I’m getting sick now.
I thought it appropriate to share a sick cover (sick = actually sick, throat is hoarse, all that shit) of this song. Recorded it when I got back from Shanghai so my voice is nice and dry and very, very polluted. Enjoy, maybe? I crack like a man.
Ahh, it’s been too long! This one’s not a cover. It’s completely, 100% mine. Every little bit. I posted lyrics earlier here, if you’re interested. This is the song I sang back in late January when I broke the queue once to blog about it and afterwards said it was really exhilarating yadiyadiyada.
Anyway. An original. Eeep?
I wrote a song between Thursday and Sunday last week. These are the lyrics?

Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men
This was difficult.
In fact, it’s the hardest cover I’ve made to date and I’m not totally satisfied with it. The only part I really like is that last little trill.
WHATEVER. C’est la vie.

If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys
A favorite, favorite, favorite song from after piano lessons. The buzzing is either the terrible recording, the fact that I was way too into the piano-ing, or the fact that my poor baby Larry (my piano) is getting old and his strings are rusty.
This is rough, this is for fun, and I will most definitely put up a better one in the future?

I Never Told You by Colbie Caillat
I will never be able to pronounce her name – okay, we just looked it up and apparently it’s like CAH-LAY. Emphasis on the LAY. Jesus Christ, Colbie.

Still not sure why I’m doing this but all of my covers are now available for download. Find the link belooooooooow!

Stay by Lisa Loeb
This this this this this this this this is one of my favorite songs of all time, which is why I’m doing it raw, a.k.a. without the safety of the recording studio and the bigass mic it offers. And I didn’t mess with the reverb or the echo this time, only the volume, ahaha, ‘cause I don’t want people to suffer too much.
I’d like to dedicate this to all of my Tumblr followers, as always, because why are you still following me but honestly, I am so thankful for you guys every single day and I want you all to stay ahahahahahahahaha –
– ehem. But also this is dedicated to Alex, who can currently be found at iridum. Happy birthday, seastar.

Breathe by Taylor Swift ft. Colbie Caillat
So I used to really love Taylor Swift a few years back and came across this again. It’s a relatively easy song to cover but I did my own version and most importantly, I’m dedicating this to one of my best friends, Grace, for this really random present she gave me and also because she’s had… a rough week.
Aaaaaand of course, I wanted to give everyone on Tumblr a little present after my being “away” for an entire week. I have missed this bloody website far too much to be considered healthy.

The A-Team by Ed Sheeran.
So I covered this. And I really miss Paul. All vocals and background music by yours truly, original ideas for background vocals courtesy of my buddy Paul. I hope you guys like it, even a little bit?
Do you guys know the song The A Team by Ed Sheeran? It’s only, like, one of the best songs today. Well, see, the thing is, I covered it and I’ll be posting what I’ve arranged tomorrow evening. I don’t know what time exactly ‘cause I live on the other side of the world. But yes, expect that!
A little menial story: I first performed this song with a good friend of mine - we were in the same music class and he’s an amazing singer (Korean, too - raaahhh, Koreans, represent!). There was some huge event happening at school that involved lots of drunk teachers and drunk parents and they needed entertainment, so we were both like, “Paul, it’s your last year, why the fuck not?” I just loved singing with him, okay? He’s an awesome guy. See the performance here, excuse the poor quality!
I really love this song, I hold it close to my heart, and I can’t wait to share it with you guys.

Mona Lisa (When The World Falls Down) by The All American Rejects.
I recorded this in Publications class about a week ago but posted it when everyone was sleeping. I meant to dedicate this to all of my followers as a thank you for just sticking with me through all of my pathetic blogging. Thanks, you guys, really. You make life a little brighter every day. Hope you enjoy it? Maybe?
Arrangement, vocals, guitar by yours truly, as always!
kidnap-the-muse: I just wanted to let you know, after listening to your rendition of You and Me by Lifehouse, you have gorgeous vocals.

No really my vocals are disappoint here but this message, aww gurl, thank you so much, you are much too kind!
Title: You and Me

You and Me by Lifehouse.
I love this song - I think it really has that idea of Wally falling for Artemis - but it’s a sweet song and I learned it earlier this year and it’s been a favourite song for years. These aren’t my best vocals but I’m pretty satisfied with this arrangement. I hope you guys like it (?) and aren’t bothered by those awful cracks.
Anonymous: i wish you could just make a whole playlist of lullabies, i can never fall asleep and your voice is amazing and sweet and i love all of the songs that you have on your tumblr :)
